"The Great Wind"
Jean Baptiste Camille Corot made a great painting titled “A Gust of Wind”. Its great device and charm is that you immediately “see” the wind with the twisted trees and the swirling cloud shapes above a figure hunched over in flapping garments. I often like to face directly out to the horizon into the wind and try to see where it might be coming from—a hopeless task but I find it a fun thing to do!
