Landing on an small, bare island in the Pacific Southeast, I was instantly aware of how stunningly simple landscape can become. The lone, wind-torn structure on this uninhabited island was the only evidence that anything had ever passed by. The lone figure contemplates her place in the world beyond the endless blue waters surrounding the immediate space.
